February 11, 2016: GCC Benefit with Tommy Caldwell at NYC Patagonia Store

Tommy Caldwell, Patagonia ambassador, image courtesy of Patagonia.comThis Thursday, February 11, 2016, head to the Patagonia store in the Meatpacking district of New York City to meet Patagonia Climbing Ambassador Tommy Caldwell for a screening of Sender Films and Big UP Productions documentary, A Line Across The Sky. The film combines footage shot by Tommy and Alex Honnold on their first ascent of the Fitz Traverse. Following the film, Tommy is also going to give a quick highlight reel of his recent Dawn Wall project.

Enjoy some brews by Rockaway Brewery, switchel by CideRoad, a chance to win a new Black Hole™ bag, and get amped for your next day on the wall.

The Gunks Climbers’ Coalition is thrilled to be honored by Patagonia as the recipient of the proceeds from this event’s raffle. We will have a table there to answer any questions and help you join or renew your membership. This special event membership price is $35 for a year’s membership in both the Access Fund and the GCC (online it’s $15 extra). Stop by and say hi.

Admission is free and first come, first serve. We recommend arriving early, as they expect a full house and may likely have to turn away people. Patagonia states, “We regret that we are not able to reserve seating or standing room for this event.”
