Saving Hemlock Trees

The presence of HWA was detected two years ago as we began work on the trail to the Antlion Cliff. The project has grown to include over 1500 infected trees, on over 200 acres of land as we work with adjacent landowners to preserve the forest health of this area of the Shawangunk Ridge. This is a multistage project which will be ongoing over several years as we treat and monitor these trees. This grant makes possible the timely start of the first stage of this project. We are grateful to ABC Brewing Company for helping to keep the Shawangunk Ridge healthy and beautiful!
