Gym-to-Crag Education

The Gunks Climbers' Coalition Gym to Crag Transition Program Logo.The Gym to Crag Transition Program was designed to provide ethics and etiquette to new climbers making the transition from climbing inside to climbing outside for the first time. The program, funded in part by the American Alpine Club and the Access Fund, is a multi-media presentation that engages the audience and encourages them to be mindful climbing outside. The program is designed to be presented in gyms and to new climbers with the hopes of educating the next generation of outdoor climbers how to respect and protect their climbing resources and other fellow climbers.
