Titanium Rescue Litter Fund - A SUCCESS!
We are very happy to announce that our fund drive for the purchase of the titanium litter for the Mohonk Preserve rescue program is a tremendous success! We raised the required money for the litter in about two weeks. Thank you for your contributions! This litter costs about $1,150 and is much lighter than the existing litter. To learn more about this type of stretcher, click here. The new litter will allow rescuers to get the litter to the victim much quicker and may even save lives by expediting the process of 'packaging' and getting the victim out quickly. We will be completing the purchase of the titanium litter later this month, and to keep the donations coming to the fund as henceforth it will be a General Rescue Fund - to purchase rescue equipment for caches at other cliff locations and defray rescue costs for the Mohonk Preserve.
